# 7. Sınıf İngilizce — Unit 8: Public Buildings

## 1. Hedefler

Şehirdeki yerleri tanıyacak, bir yere **hangi amaçla gittiğini** anlatacak, geçmişte yaptığın ziyaretleri açıklayacak ve çalışma saatlerine göre bir iş planı oluşturacaksın. Ünitenin adı Public Buildings olsa da okul materyallerinde dükkânlar ve ticari mekânlar da bu şehir yaşamı teması içinde ele alınır; listedeki her yer devlet kurumu değildir.

> **Kritik çiftler:** **Library → borrow**, **bookshop → buy**; **cinema → film**, **theatre → play**. Gerçek dünyada hizmetler farklılaşabilir; testte verilen ilan veya açıklama önceliklidir.

## 3. Konu anlatımı

### 3.1. Amaç belirtme: to + yalın fiil

Bir yere neden gittiğini söylemek için **go / went to + yer + to + fiil** yapısı kullanılır.

- I go **to the library to borrow books**.
- She went **to the bakery to buy bread**.
- We went **to the museum to see old objects**.
- They went **to the station to catch a train**.

İlk **to** yönelme/yer bağlantısını, ikincisi **amacı** anlatır. **To buy** “satın almak için” demektir. “To buying” kullanma.

**Soru:** Why did you go to the post office? **Cevap:** To send a parcel. / I went there to send a parcel.

### 3.2. Gerekçe: because + cümle

- I went to the bakery **because we needed bread**.
- She went to the library **because she wanted to borrow a book**.
- We visited the museum **because we were interested in history**.

**To + fiil:** to buy bread. **Because + özne + fiil:** because we needed bread. “Because buy bread” eksiktir. İki yapı yakın anlamlı bir sebep/amaç ilişkisi kurabilir; biçimleri farklıdır.

### 3.3. Geçmiş ziyaretler

**Go → went; buy → bought; send → sent; see → saw; take → took.** Did/didn't varsa fiil yalın hâline döner: **Did you go?**, “Did you went?” değil.

**Where did you go?** yer; **Why did you go?** amaç/neden; **When did you go?** zaman; **What did you buy?** satın alınan şeyi sorar.

### 3.4. Konum ifadeleri

Bu ifadeler ilan ve basit haritaları anlamana yardımcı olur:

- **next to** → hemen yanında: The bank is next to the pharmacy.
- **opposite** → karşısında: The cinema is opposite the park.
- **between A and B** → A ile B arasında: The library is between the bank and the museum.
- **near** → yakınında: The station is near the park.

**Near, next to kadar kesin bitişiklik anlatmaz.** “Between the bank” eksik olur; ikinci referans noktası da belirtilmelidir.

Saat 17:30’da kitap **satın almak** için bookshop uygundur. Kitap **ödünç almak** için açık kitapçıya gitmek sorunu çözmez; verilen tabloda ödünç hizmeti yoktur. **Açık olma + doğru hizmet** iki ayrı koşuldur.

## 4. Okuma: Saturday Errands

> On Saturday, Ece first went to the library to return a book. Then she visited the bookshop to buy a dictionary. After lunch, she went to the post office with her father to send a parcel. She wanted to visit the museum, but it was closed that afternoon, so she went home.

**Kanıtlı okuma:** Did she buy a dictionary at the library? → No, at the bookshop. Did she visit the museum? → No. **Wanted to visit** istek bildirir; ziyaretin gerçekleştiğini göstermez. First → then → after lunch sırasını koru.

## 5. Mini alıştırma

a) I went to the bakery ___ buy bread. b) Did she ___ (go) to the bank? c) We went to the park because we ___ (want) to walk. d) Borrow ile buy aynı mıdır?

**Cevap:** to / go / wanted / Hayır: borrow ödünç almak, buy satın almak.

## 6. Ünite testi — 25 soru

**20 × 3 + 5 × 8 = 100 puan.** Önerilen süre 50–60 dakika. Hizmetler ve saatler soru içindeki kurgusal yerler için verilmiştir.

**Rubrik (8 puan):** Üç yer 2; iki doğru amaç yapısı 2; sıralama ifadesi 1; doğru olumsuz geçmiş 1; tutarlı/anlaşılır anlatım 1; 5–6 cümle 1. Farklı mantıklı ziyaretler kabul edilir.
